George worked with the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago from 1961, in the former Civil Aviation Division (CAD), (now the Civil Aviation Authority) of the Ministry of Works and Transport. He retired in September 1999. George was first an Air Traffic Controller, after which he became an Air Traffic Services (ATS) Instructor. He then moved on to become fully responsible for Air Traffic Services training and the administration of the Civil Aviation Training Centre. (CATC)
 

As an Instructor at this institution he lectured on all ATS and ATS-allied subjects, including , inter alia, Elementary Aerodynamics, Radio and Electronic Aids to Air Navigation and the theory of Air Traffic Control, Air Navigation etc.  At the time of his retirement he was responsible for the general administration of the Air Traffic Services (ATS) in Trinidad and Tobago and the administration of  training in the CAD.

George received his professional aviation-related training in Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg.
During his tenure of office in the Civil Aviation Division, he was author, producer or co-producer of a number of professional documents related to local air traffic services procedures and the management of  Air Traffic Services Training in Trinidad and Tobago.

In October 2009,  George completed a newly contracted post-retirement assignment to prepare, and put together new documentation for the Centre in its quest for accreditation by the ACTT.

For the last seven years in the CAD, he served on a number of international and regional Civil Aviation Committees in the capacities of Trinidad and Tobago's representative on the Regional ATM/CNS Sub Group; and the  Eastern Caribbean Informal Working Group. (ECWG)

He was Coordinator of the National Air Traffic Management and Communications/Navigation/Surveillance Committee, often referred to as the  National ATM/CNS Committee, and T and T's representative on the   Eastern Caribbean Search and Rescue Committee. 

He was also Chairman of the Air Traffic Services Committee, a sub-committee of the Eastern Caribbean Informal Working Group (ECWG).


During the year 2002, after his retirement George worked as facilitator for air traffic control training courses for the Governments of St. Kitts, St. Lucia and Antigua and Barbuda.

George is also a Christian musician who now attends the Nazarene Church in St. James, Port of Spain, Trinidad. He was the founder of the Golden Gates Combo in the early 1960's. This group was the first Instrumental Gospelypso Combo in Trinidad and Tobago and  had the honor at that time of playing at the first Andrae Crouch concert at the Roxy Cinema (now  Pizzaria in St. James)

At present George is part of the musical ensemble at the St. James Church of the Nazarene and plays the electric guitar. He has also played (both lead and rhythm guitar ) with past Gospel Groups like RHEMA, CHARIS and CARIBBEAN WITNESS.
The groups CHARIS and CARIBBEAN WITNESS composed and sang mainly Gospelypsoes.

George was also general secretary of FAITH Tabernacle, Nepaul Street St. James, the headquarters branch of the Pentecostal United Holy Church of Trinidad and Tobago (P.U.H.C.) from 1964 to 1971. He was also the Administrative Secretary of the same Church from approx 1971 to 1981.
 
While he appreciates all types of music, his preferred type of Music is Gospel, particularly Gospelypso, and Gospel Soul.
 
Those who know him will also know that he is an ardent, almost fanatical  lover of photography for some time now. Fortunately, since his retirement from the Public Service, he is able to devote more time, and become more involved in the  art.

As you would have noticed George has now chosen to have his website cater primarily to his photography ambitions.
